Tired of the frustrations and "control issues" of their group the Greenberry Woods, Matt and Brandt Huseman recruited multi-instrumentalist pal Paul Krysiak to record a one-off power pop side project. It's hard to believe that they recorded this gem in between the two GBW albums, harder still to believe that it was written and recorded in approximately a weekend! This raw and unrelentingly catchy album was thankfully not the last we got to hear from Splitsville. Sure, it's nowhere near as polished as the subsequent discs, but Splitsville USA has terrific appeal and charm because of its DIY nature. With these guys, it's ALL good!
